Being Poor Stinks!

"Poverty is a form of hell caused by man's blindness to God's unlimited good for him." - The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity Catherine Ponder

Some people would say that while poverty might be considered hell it's easy, yet tons of self help books would tell you that being rich is easy.  I believe it's just as easy to manifest wealth and abundance as it is to manifest poverty and lack.

The difference is only a mindset away.  You'll notice that people that live in lack dwell on lack.  While those that live in wealth think at the opposite end of the spectrum.  And yes there are those in the middle that have a bit of both going on in general they think positive thoughts but at times let worries carry them down the wrong path.

Let's imagine poverty being a dirty diaper, I know that sounds silly but bare with me.  Here you are with this dirty stinky diaper, aka poverty, and you think about this diaper all the time, you carry it around and show it to your friends saying, "See, see how much it just stinks!" and think "I wish I could get rid of this thing." But, you tote it around some more.  Now how much sense does that make?  Sure they'll be stinky diapers but that doesn't mean that you hold on to them, carry it around with you all day, tuck it in next to you at night, and show it to everyone you cross paths with.

It's time to dispose of negative thoughts, they just plain stink! As you become more aware of your thinking the more subtle thoughts of lack will jump out at you, and it will be easier to see where the lack is coming from in your life.

One of my wow moments happened recently when I was organizing our game room.  I was thinking to myself we need some type of shelving in here, something nice to look at but durable to hold up to the kids and their friends.  That by itself would have been a nice enough thought but nope!  The thought that followed was but I just don't have the money right now.  As soon as that thought crossed my mind lights and bells went off.  I quickly canceled the last thought and went back to visualizing what I wanted.

It's those simple thoughts that can get in our way.  We plant a seed and not two seconds later dig it up.  If that happens to you replant you seed and walk away.

Being The Boss of Your Subconscious Mind

What are you telling your subconscious that you want?  Your subconscious mind is like your own personal errand boy.  You tell him what you want and he sets out to get it.  Pretty simple right?

It's important that you tell the errand boy what you really want.  If you say, "I'm so sick and tired." The errand boy quickly goes to his reference book, one that you've written and looks up sick and tired.  Then speeds along to find things that will make you even more "sick and tired".  He brings your boss by your desk to annoy you, he makes sure you get in the right line at the grocery store so you will have a nice long wait and a cashier that irritates you. He then proceeds to put some letters that you're not going to like very much in your mailbox, for when you get home.  He might even give the dog your favorite sandal to chew on.  Wow, he's good!

On the flip side, you tell your errand boy I want to be rich!  He goes to look that up in the reference book and finds under the word rich a story about you when you were ten and you found five dollars and you felt so rich!  So he goes about his way and gets you an extra five dollars.  He is still awesomely proud of himself because once again he has done exactly what he was told to do.

How about you tell him that you'd like to go out to eat and you are sure about it! He'll get a friend to call and say, "I was just thinking of you, would you like to go out to dinner?" or maybe you'd get a coupon in the mail from your favorite restaurant. He is helping you get what you want but you have to follow through.  If you tell your friend no or trash the coupon because you really shouldn't go, then it's you that has the problem, he's done his job, he's laid out a path for you and he'll keep doing it whether you are a good boss or bad.

Your errand boy also has the greatest cell phone reception ever!  You'll tell him that you want new furniture for the living room.  He'll set out to find it, not only the furniture but also the means of which to obtain it. While he is on his journey you call him and say, "You know, maybe instead of brown, I'd like something more creamy, and he's out to get creamy.  Then you'll think you'd like leather instead of fabric, so he changes course to find what you want.  Your last words to him might be well we don't have the money for that so just forget it.  And so he does!

We must give our subconscious a good reference as to what we want from it.  Hold in your mind those things that you want whether it's good health, wealth, happiness or a loving relationship.  Use your past as a reference or write new entries by making a vision board and using visualization. And last but not least give him time to go out and get the things you want before changing your mind.  Hold on to the thought, if he hasn't brought it to you yet, send him reminders, i.e. affirmations.  He won't ever get annoyed no matter how many times you tell him you want something and he loves for you to be specific, it makes it easier for him to do his job.
