Gratitude is The Antidepressant

You know that you can change the way you are feeling in just minutes! Even better not only is it fast, it's free!

All too often we give way too much attention to the things in life that aren't good.  Whether it's debt or a relationship problem with a friend, family or even a coworker.  Think about that?  Why? Why would we allow ourselves to waste our precious time on this planet to think about things or people that we don't feel good about. Those things and people will always be a part of our lives but we don't have to give them our time and energy.

You can change your life right now, right this minute by choosing to give less of your time and energy those negative situations and/or people by beginning to focus on the good and wonderful things you have in your life.  What are you truly grateful for?  Be honest with yourself! Feel the feeling of how blessed you really are.  Start thinking of all the wonderful people and things in your life.  No Eeyores allowed! It doesn't work if you moan out, I'm grateful for my family.  No!  You have to feel it and know in your heart how precious life is how wonderful the things you have are.

There are opportunities to be grateful at every turn.

Make a list start with loved ones, mentors, then move onto things.  They don't have to be things that are big. Yes, I'm thankful for my home and I feel so blessed but there are those little things in life to be grateful for also. Things that we overlook when we are too consumed with the negative.  I start my day with being oh so grateful for the hot shower I'm taking.  Thank God for the people that came before me that invented and built the means by which I enjoy that warm soothing moment every morning! Ahhh!

Start now making the list and you will be amazed how quickly you will feel uplifted!  This comes with lasting benefits as well because the more you are thankful, the more you will have to be thankful for.
